Luis Mankepiwke

Luis Mankepiwke is a visual artist whose work explores the intersection of nature, geometry and what it means to be a human, with a high inspiration from intuition. First he specialized in illustration and from 2020 he moved to watercolor with a focus on vibrant color palettes and intricate details. Their portfolio showcases a deep commitment to storytelling and experimental form, featuring a unique visual language that challenges the viewer's perception.
The name Mankepiwke, deriving from the Mapudungun words for Manke "Condor" (wisdom/strength) and Piwke "Heart" (internal feeling), means "Condor's Heart" and represents a deep connection to Mapuche culture and his roots who he also try to express it in his artistic work.
More than 20 years practicing and teaching Meditation & Yoga, and 10 years traveling trough Latin America and Asia gave him a strong focus on observation of life at it is, which also reflects on his works as an Artist.
