The Explorer
Description
I was having problems in my relationship with my girlfriend when I made this one. I was feeling lonely, not understood, kinda alone in an empty space. I deeply guess that painting in watercolor, as water is the carrier of emotions, what you are feeling on the moment you paint, reflects on the final piece, even without looking for it, it just comes out naturally.
I started the first idea at a meeting of the Saigon Creative club, a basic one, then I polished, added deep in the shadows, and made the entire background preserving the cubes and the astronaut area, preserving didn’t work as I expected and some black color filtered into the main cube area, giving some kind of atmosphere.
The cubes are a basic 3D extension of a classic Mapuche Melipal symbol, the star with four points, or also called andean cross.
